PIACENZA, Italy — 8 October, 2026 — Energy Dome today officially inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Piacenza, Italy, marking a major step forward in the global deployment of its CO2 Battery technology, representing the company’s transition from breakthrough innovation to industrial-scale execution.

The new facility reflects a core conviction: breakthrough technology alone does not build energy infrastructure. Industrial capacity, resilient supply chains, consistent quality, and the ability to execute repeatedly at scale are what turn innovation into a feasible reality.

By bringing critical production capabilities in-house to the Piacenza location, the facility strengthens Energy Dome’s control over quality and delivery while adding manufacturing capacity to serve projects worldwide, marking it as a turning point in the company’s history.

Energy Dome currently holds a 30 GWh global project portfolio spanning four continents. The first dome manufactured in Piacenza has already shipped to India for the company’s project with NTPC Limited, and manufacturing is underway for the Columbia Energy Storage Project in Wisconsin with Alliant Energy, with projects in Arizona, Ireland, and Australia next in line.

AI, advanced manufacturing, and reindustrialization are driving the need for reliable, affordable, and dispatchable electricity. Long-duration energy storage can play a critical role in meeting that demand while strengthening grid reliability and energy security.

Energy Dome was pleased to welcome Vice Minister Valentino Valentini, Vice President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Vincenzo Colla, and Mayor of Piacenza Katia Tarasconi to celebrate the milestone.
