During the BloombergNEF Summit 2025 in London, in a video interview, Claudio Spadacini explains the commercial advantages of adopting Energy Dome’s signature solution and how it stacks up against other technologies.
At the recent BloombergNEF Summit in London, Energy Dome’s founder and CEO, Claudio Spadacini, joined industry leaders for the panel on “Europe’s Competitive Strategy for Future Battery Opportunities.” The discussion highlighted the critical moment for the energy sector, where the transition from concept to commercial reality for long-duration energy storage is now undeniable.
Claudio Spadacini emphasized that its CO2 Battery technology has been operating commercially for some time, providing a proven, bankable solution for grid resilience. The conversation underscored that global demand is accelerating, with markets now asking how quickly such storage can be deployed, noting that for durations beyond eight hours, the CO2 Battery technology is cost-competitive with lithium-ion and can be delivered faster than new gas-fired power plants.
Claudio also had the chance to be interviewed at the event, emphasizing some of these key points. You can watch the highlights in the video above.
