Porto Cervo, Sardinia — 12 September, 2026 – Energy Dome, a global leader in long-duration energy storage, brought together 150 senior leaders from across the global energy industry for the inaugural Global Energy Leaders’ Summit, held September 10–11 in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy.

Over two days, delegates representing five continents convened around a single shared challenge: how to deliver the reliable, affordable, and resilient power needed to meet the world’s rapidly growing energy demand. Throughout the Summit, industry leaders shared their perspectives on the most pressing issues facing the global power sector, including meeting surging electricity demand driven by AI, data centers, electrification, and re-industrialization; strengthening grid reliability, energy security, and resilience amid geopolitical uncertainty and supply-chain risks; delivering 24/7 clean power at scale through solutions commercially available today; and mobilizing the investment, policy support, and industry collaboration needed to accelerate infrastructure deployment.

The Summit’s agenda featured a distinguished roster of speakers from leading organizations, including Google, DTE, RWE Americas, Barclays, the Italian Ministry of Defence, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Guggenheim Securities, Alliant Energy, the European Investment Bank, ENGIE, the Arizona Corporation Commission, and Cleantech for Europe.

A central theme emerged from the discussions: generation alone will not solve the challenge ahead. Electricity must be available when and where it is needed, at a cost that businesses and consumers can afford. Addressing this challenge demands a fundamental shift in how the industry approaches energy infrastructure, with long-duration energy storage playing a vital role.

The Summit concluded with a visit to Energy Dome’s 10-hour, 20 MW/200 MWh CO2 Battery in Ottana, Sardinia, where delegates witnessed firsthand how next-generation long-duration energy storage is already being deployed at commercial scale.

Energy Dome expressed its appreciation to all speakers and delegates who traveled from around the world to share their insights, experiences, and ideas, describing it as a privilege to bring together such an outstanding group of leaders and to spark meaningful discussions on the future of global energy infrastructure.
