Energy Dome is a leading long-duration energy storage company commercializing the CO2 Battery, a scalable energy storage solution designed to deliver reliable, cost-effective power for utilities, grids, and large energy users. With a standardized and modular design and a rapidly expanding global pipeline, we are executing commercial projects and scaling manufacturing to support multi-site deployment.
The Role
We are hiring a Project Finance Manager to support the structuring and execution of project financing across Energy Dome’s portfolio of utility-scale and commercial long-duration energy storage assets. This role sits at the intersection of finance, commercial contracting, and project development, and will play a key part in enabling build-transfer and build-own-operate (BOO) deployments globally.
You will work closely with senior leadership, development teams, engineering, legal counsel, and external parties including lenders, investors, advisors, EPC partners, and offtakers.
Key Responsibilities
Project finance execution
• Support end-to-end execution of project financing for LDES assets, including debt, equity, tax-driven structures (where relevant), and hybrid solutions
• Assist in structuring project SPVs, financing terms, and security packages (construction financing, term debt, DSCR / covenants, reserves)
Financial modeling
• Build and maintain integrated project finance models (construction + operations) including IRR/MOIC, cash waterfalls, sensitivities, and scenarios;
• Model revenue structures such as tolling / capacity payments, availability payments, merchant exposure, and contracted offtakes;
• Support valuation work for asset sales, minority stake transactions, or build-transfer outcomes.
Documentation and diligence
• Support transaction documentation including term sheets, lender/investor packages, and materials for IC approvals;
• Coordinate due diligence inputs across technical, insurance, legal, and commercial workstreams;
• Manage data room content and lender Q&A processes with strong attention to detail.
Stakeholder coordination
• Work with internal teams and external advisors to align commercial contracts (EPC, LTSA, O&M, offtake/tolling) with bankability requirements;
• Support negotiations with lenders, tax partners, and strategic investors through analysis and clear communication.
Portfolio and reporting
• Track financing readiness across project milestones (RTB, NTP, COD) and maintain internal dashboards;
• Support management and board updates with concise transaction summaries and decision memos.
Required Qualifications
• 2–4 years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, debt management;
• Strong financial modeling skills (project finance / cash flow waterfalls / debt schedules / sensitivities);
• Working knowledge of project documentation concepts (EPC, O&M, security package, DSCR, CPs);
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams in parallel;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in an investor / lender-facing context;
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (comfort working with models under tight timelines).
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in energy storage, dispatchable generation, renewables, or grid infrastructure;
• Exposure to US tax credit structures (ITC/PTC transferability), tax equity, or European infrastructure debt (EIB/export credit);
• Familiarity with lender technical advisor processes and bankability requirements;
• Experience supporting transactions across multiple geographies / regulatory regimes;
• Strong commercial instincts and ability to work cross-functionally with engineers and commercial teams.
